A GAME
The Mustangs tied the Blazers 8-8. The Blazers from Bingham was a very stout squad, but the Mustangs were able to jump out to an 8-0 lead at half behind the 75 yard TD run from Jack Williams. The conversion was successful from Nyles Thomas on a tough cut back run inside for 2 points. The scored remained 8-0 until 2:00 left in the game. The Blazers took over on their own 10 yard line after a Mustang punt. The Blazers came out passing on 1st down. A nutty reception that bounced off of 3 players and lands in the hands of a Bingham wide out got the Mustangs on their heels. They scored the next play and tied the game. The Mustangs couldn't do anything and time expired.
The Mustang B team was victorious against Bingham, winning 8-0! Great job of executing and keeping the shutout streak going! The Defense lead by Zavion Miles entered the fourth quarter not allowing a TD through 7 quarters! He and rest of the squad continued to dominate throughout the 4th quarter. The offense finally got on the board behind the punishing running of Charles Oliver in the 4th quarter. He capped off a touchdown drive by scoring from 45 yards out.
The C Team traveled to Bingham Middle on Thursday, September 19th. They faced a talented Bingham squad and fell 22-0. The team fought hard and the coaches are proud of the effort that they showed. Next up is Summit Lakes on September 25th.
