GAME SUMMARIES
The Mustangs dropped the Summit Lakes Falcons 34-21. A total team effort allowed the Mustangs to control the game from start to finish. The Defense had the Falcons on lock down and held the Falcon running game in check for most of the game. This allowed the offense to race out to 28-0 and 34-7 leads. The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage and the calm leadership of Saul Medina allowed Nyles Thomas and Jack Williams to pop long run after long run. This was Campbell's first win over Summit Lakes in 6 years. The coaches are very proud of the hard work put in by the team (A/B/C teams).
B GAME
The B team dropped a tough one to Summit Lakes, 8-16. The Mustangs never gave up and played with tons of heart. They were trailing 0-16 with less than 2 minutes left in the game. The Mustangs scored in less than a minute and still had all 3 timeouts left. Summit Lakes fumbled away the football and gave new life to the Mustangs. The comeback rally fell short as Summit Lakes intercepted a half back pass inside the 15 yard line. Great heart shown by the Mustangs! The coaches were very proud of how you played ALL game!
The C team will take on Pioneer Ridge today at BCMS! Good luck to them as they finish out their season!
